On the Downtown Pensacola Bayfront Shoreline.
Once again, Pensacola will be showcasing all the Park has to offer and has a big week planned for VeteransWeek! The Park is excited about the opportunity to partner with Foo Foo Fest in bringing a week of gratitude, art, music, education, healing, and laughter to our community.
Veterans Memorial Park and Foo Foo Fest are excited to give our community an epic "Week in the Park" kick-off with music and comedy act evenings in the Park! Park festivities begin in conjunction and in coordination with Foo Foo Fest, VeteransWeek, and the Gulf Coast Arts Festival activities and dates.
The week will kick-off with a concert in the park and maybe a few smaller musical events during the week ending on Veterans Day evening with the Annual Fundraising Dinner & Concert. Check out the event schedule below and come join us for the festivities!
Join us in the Park for tours of the Park and learn about our American History of those who protected our freedom and way of life. With over $3 million in art and monuments, you will also learn about the artists and the stories behind the art.
This year we focus on gratitude, art, music, education, healing, and laughter! Join us in the Park as we bring a mix of events & entertainment that touches our hearts, our minds, and our spirit.
During the main events of the week, Park visitors can enjoy the areas best food trucks.
For those who join us for the Fundraising Dinner on Veterans Day, you will be treated to a fantastic culinary experience while supporting the park with your generous donation and finally be treated with a concert by Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Mac McAnally.

DINNER & CONCERT
Our fundraising dinner will be held at the First Baptist Church of Pensacola in Chipley Hall with our special celebrity guest Mac McAnally.
McAnally is the guitarist in Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band and is recognized by his notable credits in country music with songs cut by Alabama (“Old Flame”), Kenny Chesney (“Back Where I Come From”), Sawyer Brown (“All These Years”), Shenandoah (“Two Dozen Roses”) and many others.
Turning conversations into song is one of McAnally’s greatest gifts, one that led to his induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2007. Two of the songs from Once in a Lifetime come from that era. He co-wrote “Good Guys Win” for the 2006 film, Hoot, and felt like its optimistic tone needed to be heard in this divided time. McAnally has won a record-setting 10 trophies as Musician of the Year from the Country Music Association.

Fronted by decorated combat veteran Adam C. Martin, the band creates a sound reminiscent of the age of vinyl where rock, country, and blues merge somewhere below the Mason-Dixon line. Based out of Florida and Texas, Blackbird Anthem plays across the country at festivals, veteran events, traditional venues, and more.

LAUGHS IN THE PARK
Now more than ever, we can all use a good laugh. Laughter brings diverse groups of people together. According to a Mayo Clinic study, laughter can relieve stress, soothe tension, improve your immune system, relieve pain, and improve your mood. These are benefits all of us can benefit from! These good spirits, happiness, and wellness will be brought to us by The GI's of Comedy.
All Veterans. All Veteran Comedians.
The GIs of Comedy is a comedic troupe of troops, who have taken their love of their country and brought it to the comedy stage. Quite simply, as the motto says, they’re Standup Comics. All Veterans. Still Serving Their Country. One Joke At A Time. Thom Tran, Jose Sarduy, and Tom Irwin are the Original GIs of Comedy. Since the team was created, nearly a dozen new members have joined the team from all different branches including the US Army, US Air Force, US Navy & US Marine Corps. All professional comedians trying to bring laughter to their brothers and sisters still in uniform.
Their mission and their goal is to help heal their fellow soldiers with their comedy, and to bring laughter to all those who have supported the people that wear the uniform of the United States Armed Forces. The team has performed in nearly two dozen countries, over 30 continental states, and to THOUSANDS of fans.
