A Permanent Message for Your Own Hero
As the home of the first permanent replica of The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Veterans Memorial Park of Pensacola is well known for naming and acknowledging individual veterans, military units, and the operations where they served in perpetuity. The Walk of Honor is an extension of these principles. By donating to this project, you can memorialize those close to you or their military units who answered our nation's call, or even simply show your general support with a customized message inscribed on a brick in the Walk of Honor.
With over 700 bricks and counting, the Walk of Honor is replacing the current concrete walkway to Wall South. The more bricks we get and the more the Walk of Honor comes together, we can see how this project has elevated the natural beauty of what our visitors call the Jewel on the Bay; and it's all thanks to the generous sponsorships from community members like you.
Let Us Never Forget
The Walk of Honor Project is an opportunity for the community to participate in our effort to honor and memorialize our Veterans and Active Duty Service Members. From heartfelt tributes to those Veterans who returned and became Grandparents and Great-Grandparents, to stoic remembrances of a buddy who was too young to be gone, to commemorations of close-knit units and friendships and simple expressions of love and support, the Walk of Honor is a permanent way to tell your story and support the park.

James Devine was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran who served from 1968 to 1970. Ms. Devine placed a picture of her father along with some of his ashes under his Walk of Honor brick as she placed it among others who served. Watch her moving story about her Hero, the man that "Loved Large," her Dad.
