In an effort to attract more Veterans for employment and spread its message of drug prevention and drug abuse education, Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan donated $5,000 to the VMPF last week. The sponsorship comes on behalf the State Law Enforcement Trust Fund and the Escambia County Sheriffs Office.

"The VMPF is very pleased to help the Sheriff's drug abuse prevention and education program by providing this information to the Veterans community, " said VMPF President Butch Hansen. "I believe this is clearly a win-win partnership and hope that we can help attract some more veterans to serve in the Sheriff’s office and join in this important effort."

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office employs over 650 people who serve nearly 300,000 citizens across Escambia County.
