On Thursday, July 16th 2015, a gunman took the lives of five United States service members in a shooting on two military bases in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The first shooting occurred at an Armed Forces Career Center, and the second incident took place at a separate location-a naval reserve center just a few miles away. The four Marines and the Sailor who lost their lives were assaulted at the second location.

This tragedy is felt by the entire nation. Dedicated service members lost their lives after devoting themselves to the protection of our freedom and liberties that we enjoy as American citizens. After risking their lives in foreign combat and preparing for potential deployment to dangerous combat regions, the men ultimately died on our home soil.

Members of the Active Duty and Veterans community have organized a Memorial Service to be held this Wednesday, July 22nd beginning at 6:00pm. The event will take place at Veterans Memorial Park of Pensacola. All active duty, Retired and Veteran service members as well as all citizens of Pensacola and the surrounding communities are invited to join in this time of reflection and recognition of those who lost their lives in this tragedy.
Any patriotic Americans who feel the loss of the lives of the Marines and Sailor in this tragic event are welcome to join us this Wednesday, July 22nd at 6pm at Veterans Memorial Park, 200 S. 10th Ave, Pensacola, FL.
